• Use emergency alert features (SOS, Quick Alert)
• Create posts with location tags
• Use safety and security features
• Enable location sharing with emergency contacts
• Use neighborhood-based features
• Report lost and found items
• Use location-based privacy settings
Location data may be collected continuously when you enable location tracking features, or on a one-time basis when you use specific features that require location information.

Ringo Africa Technical Services Ltd. and GRiT Technologies use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the RingoNG services, to develop new ones, and to protect RingoNG and our users.
How We Use Location Information:
• Emergency Services: To share your location with your designated emergency contacts via SMS when you use SOS or Quick Alert features
• Community Safety: To notify nearby community members of safety alerts and emergencies in your area
• Neighborhood Features: To connect you with users in your neighborhood and show location-relevant content
• Location-Based Posts: To tag your posts with location information when you choose to include it
• Lost and Found: To help match lost items with their owners based on location
• Privacy Controls: To enable location-based privacy settings (e.g., sharing posts only with nearby users)
• Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our location-based features
3. Information Sharing
Ringo Africa Technical Services Ltd. and GRiT Technologies do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Ringo Africa Technical Services Ltd. and GRiT Technologies except in the following cases:

Location Data Sharing:
• Emergency Contacts: When you use SOS or Quick Alert features, we share your precise location coordinates (latitude and longitude) with your designated emergency contacts via SMS
• Community Members: When you create safety alerts or use location-based features, your approximate location may be visible to other users in your neighborhood or nearby area
• Location Sharing Sessions: If you enable location sharing with specific contacts, those contacts will receive your location updates during the active sharing session
• Public Posts: If you choose to include location information in a public post, that location data will be visible to anyone who can view the post
We do not sell your location data to third parties. Location data is only shared as described above or as required by law.
4. Data Security
Ringo Africa Technical Services Ltd. and GRiT Technologies work hard to protect RingoNG and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information we hold.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can also object to our processing of your personal information or request that we restrict our processing of your personal information.
Your Location Data Rights:

• Opt-Out: You can disable location tracking features in the app settings, though emergency features may require location access to function
Note: Some features, such as emergency alerts and location-based safety features, require location access to function properly. If you disable location permissions, these features may not be available.

Location data is stored securely on our servers and is encrypted in transit. We retain location data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Location data associated with emergency alerts may be retained for longer periods for safety and legal purposes.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your location data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
